Hello! I'm Natasha Heinz, a Brazilian journalist with experience in feature writing, copy editing and social media strategies. You will find my resume and writing samples under the assorted headings above.
I have a master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Kent State University and currently work as a reporter at the Greene County Messenger in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania.
Previously, I was the senior copy editor and arts reporter for Larson Newspapers, based in Sedona, Arizona. Working in small towns also meant covering numerous board meetings, which has given me the opportunity to broaden my experience.
I was also a part-time news writer at Alternative Press magazine from 2017 to 2019 and worked as a social media strategist at the Office of Global Education at Kent State University.
Regardless of the medium, my goal is to always create content I am excited about. That means different things depending on the situation--from curating social media content that will boost engagement to doing the best possible reporting news story that will inform readers to writing an in-depth feature about a subject.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Journalism from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. The breadth of my major means I'm trained in creating content for online media, print, radio and TV—and let's not forget the photography and design classes.
For more information about my path, send an e-mail to email@example.com and let's talk!
